Giving Your Thyroid a Helping Hand
Written by admin, April 30th, 2011

Although there are a lot of myths surrounding the low thyroid diet, there are some dietary needs you should pay attention to if you have hypothyroidism. Low thyroid disorders can be easily treated by cheap hormone supplements, but an excess of dietary fiber will prevent your body from absorbing the substitute hormones efficiently. You should also try to avoid soy and iodine, since foods heavy in these ingredients will inflame symptoms of a poorly-working thyroid gland – and it’s difficult to exercise when you’re feeling fatiqued and bloated all the time!
